My Wedding Invitations

Wow we have some catching up to do don't we so here's two posts together to make up for the delay!!!  Anyway here are my wedding invitations. I'm so happy with them. I knew I wanted something that was really floral (we're having a country house floral theme) ,quite girly and in my colours. The flowers we're having are peonies so I wanted to incorporate them.  There are so many gorgeous invitations out there but although they were lovely, none of them were quite right for me and Rob. I looked everywhere for inspiration and came up with the below and I love them!!!  There's an Rsvp card and a Giftcard which slot into a sleeve inside the invitation.  I have to mention that my boyfriend Rob drew the fountain inside (aww).  If you are interested in me designing some invitations for you wether they be birthday, wedding or whatever drop me a mail michellemcclelland80@yahoo.co.uk and we can discuss any ideas you have.  Also the winner of the new years Resolution give away is Louise! After the Deluge

When I went to Las Vegas recentley I saw this gorgeous painting in an art exhibition at the Bellagio Casion Called "Figuratively speaking". I saw loads of great works there but my favorate was Yoshitomo Nara's "After the deluge".  I completely feel in love with it and it made me quite emotional. The painting is huge and apparantley contains a personal message to Yoshitomo that he keeps to himself allowing viewers to come up with their own meaning.  I am a sucker when it comes to art galleries and museums.  I couldn't help myself but go in when we walked past the exhibition and I'm so glad we found it. My Boyfriend did a search on the internet the other night and put it on my phone as a screen saver and it brought back all those feelings. I thought I'd share it with you all. Enjoy!

My Calendar

I was looking at my desktop background today and thought mmmm I need to see some bright fun florals on there to brighten up these dark mornings and dark nights so I thought I'd design myself a desktop calendar. I feel happier already knowing it's there and thought I'd share it with you all.

I had a dream..............

.............and in that dream there were bright coloured rabbit heads! I mentioned before that I often get my ideas as I'm just about to go to sleep, between sleep and awake best describes it. The below print was one of those moments and I just had to get it out my system. Some ideas pester me in my head until I actually do something with them and although this idea may be slightly different from what I normally do I just had to get it out and I thought I would share it with you. It's called Rabitdapedee! Today has been none stop for me and I've only just managed to have my breakfast/lunch now. It was soup by the way so not the most healthiest breakfast. I love Fridays and I hope you all have that friday feeling. It's the weekend, have fun!

I'm back and Happy New year to you all! Here's a little giveaway........

Happy new year everyone! It's great to be back. I had a lovely break as I hope you did. I got lots of lovely Christmas presents (probably far to many for a 30 year old!) and spent the time heavily relaxing and spending time with my family. It was bliss! I had a fantastic new year to. Me and my boyfriend went to my best friends house and had a lovely meal with lots of alcohol and cheese yum!
So it's 2011 have you made any resolutions? If you have post them in the comments box below- I'd love to hear them. You might inspire me to add to my ever growing list! My favourite resolution will win 5 christmas cards (well use them next year) made and designed by me. I'll announce the winner next week. It marks a very big year for me this year with me getting married in 4 months. Eeeeeek! I will post my wedding invitations next week as my guests haven't seen them yet as we're posting them in mail tomorrow so I don't want to ruin the surprise for them! I hope it also brings me lots of success with my freelance work and any other projects I adopt so please spread the word about me to anyone you know.........and something wonderful may come of it.
