See Me-Me Lou (Handmade) at ReetSweet this weekend!

Hi Guys, as most of you know I will be showcasing Me-MeLou (handmade) this weekend with Reetsweet  at the corn exchange in Leeds this Saturday 10-5pm and Sunday 11-5pm. This will be the first time I have had a fair with Reetsweet and I'm very excited. It's one of the best craft fairs around I'd say :) Please pop along (if you're in Leeds) and say hello. There will be loads of talented people there selling various different products and it's a perfect place to pick up unusual christmas presents.

It's all about the craft!

Hi guys, you my have noticed I haven't been posting as much lately.....well thats because I've been a VERY busy Bee and quite poorly. As most of you will know I'm doing ReetSweet craft fair this weekend and am showcasing Me-Me Lou handmade so I've been ferociously crafting away. I can't take all the credit as Mr Gemmel has been helping me a great deal. It's been very much a joint effort. I've really been enjoying it. We've been working 24/7 but it's been such fun. I wanted to share a few of the purses me and Mr Gemmel have been working on. I hope you like them.

Postcards

Hi! Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I've been busy catching up on things after my holiday so it's been a bit hectic. I'm also doing the ReetSweet craft fair on 1st and 2nd October so I'm frantically sewing and making things for my stall. I'm working on some postcards for my stall as I think there a nice thing to have so thought I'd share a few with you. Hope you like them. I'm hoping to get them printed in the next few days, can't wait!

I'm Back!

Hello everyone, I'm back after my lovely relaxing holiday. It's never long enough but It's nice to be back all the same. Today I like to share with you one of my favourite designers Alison Hardcastle. She's a local designer (by local I mean York which is 35 minutes away from Leeds so it's semi local??) her work is all over the place from London to Scotland. her work is all hand printed in her studio. It's very simple but so effective. Most of her work is conversational, which I personally think can sometimes be quite difficult to make effective but Alison completely nails it and every piece is gorgeous. I couldn't help but request one of her note books for my birthday (handmade of course) It's made up of old scrap pieces of prints she has in her studio - I completely love it. Please click on the link and view her website.

Inside my little notebook, which I'm very pleased with.

Jil made this

Happy Friday. Fridays are the best day! Some of you might remember a while back I posted that I had been bought something great by Rob for my Birthday but wasn't allowed to show you it on the blog as it wasn't my birthday and I was in a moody trudy.........well since it was my birthday on Tuesday I now have the amazing gift and can share it with you. It's a rainbow horse made by the fabulous Jil Smith at Jil made this . Jil is super talented. She makes the most amazing products. I first spotted her work when I went to visit a local craft fair in Leeds called ReetSweet (which I will be selling my crafty bits at in October- very exciting!!) and I was blown away by her talent. She made this horse especially for me and I really couldn't be happier with it. Jil makes little badges, cards, cushions. This list is endless. I have a bit of an obsession with Horses so most of the stuff I have by her is of horses. Click on the link and visit her blog. She also has an folksy and etsy shop.

Books

As you all know it was my birthday on Tuesday and to say I was spoilt rotten is an under statement! I got loads of amazing bits and pieces and some of those i'd like to share with you as I think you'll enjoy them too. I got two big beautiful books and some of Sukie's cute paper bags from my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins. I don't think I can bring myself to use the Sukie bags. They are far to pretty to give away. I will just look at them adoringly now and again. I also got Decorate by Holly Becker & Joanna Copestick. For those of you who don't know Holly has a fantastic blog called decor8 It's full of design ideas and decorating tips for the home. It's one of the best decorating blogs i've seen anyway. I also got a fab book called 1000 Handmade greetings which is a book full of handmade greeting card ideas. If you know me you will know how fabulous a present this is for me as I'm obsessed with greeting cards! Please click on the links.

OOOOh so pretty!
